Clean Stuffed Hot Peppers

stuffed banana peppers recipe

  • 1 lb of lean, all-natural ground turkey
  • Approximately 6 yellow banana peppers
  • 1 jar of marinara sauce
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1 Tbsp of parsley
  • Sea salt & Pepper 


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees 
  2. Cut off the tops of the banana peppers and make a slit down the middle of one side
  3. Rinse & remove seeds
  4. Boil the peppers for about 5 minute to soften them, remove and set aside
  5. In a mixing bowl, add turkey, breadcrumbs, parsley, and salt & pepper (a large pinch of each) and mix well with a spoon 
  6. Stuff mixture into the peppers
  7. Spread approximately 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish
  8. Place the peppers (slit side face up) on the baking dish
  9. Pour the remaining sauce over the banana peppers
  10. Sprinkle the mozzarella over the peppers
  11. Bake for approximately 45 minutes
