Clean Turkey Meatloaf

clean eating turkey meatloaf recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb lean, organic ground turkey
3 slices of multigrain bread (broken up) or 1 1/2 cups of quinoa (cooked)
1/2 cup fat-free, organic milk

1/2 cup finely chopped onions
2 Tbsp chopped parsley
1 egg (beaten) or 3 Tbsp of egg whites
1/4 tsp sea salt

1/4 tsp pepper

Directions:
1. Mix ingredients together in large bowl
2. Lightly spray meal loaf pan with Olive Oil spray
3. Press into loaf pan
4. Drizzle to of meatloaf with ketchup (we use Simply Heinz)
5. Bake uncovered at 350ยบ for approx 60 minutes
6. Remove from oven & serve with your favorite side dish!  

Need ideas for a side?  Try quinoa or sweet potatoes!

Note:  If you like to top your meatloaf with ketchup, try Heinz Organic or Heinz Simply Ketchup.  It tastes amazing & contains NO high fructose corn syrup!

INSANITY FOR MY SANITY!

INSANITY MAX 30
It might not be Thursday yet but I decided to throw it back tonight & bust out my very 1st home workout program I ever bought! I've been in a major funk the last couple of days and really needed something to kick my a$$ back into gear. Well, this did it! LOL. I just got my a$# kicked & hot damn, it felt greatt! Tonight's INSANITY workout definitely gave me my sanity back. Sometimes you just need that "me" time! (Plus, I missed my man Shaun T & I'm really anticipating the new INSANITY MAX 30 to come out in just over a month!!!!! Details below!)
It's kinda funny....as I was doing the drills, I was remembering back to when I first started this program last year (at the time if was my very 1st workout in over 2 years)...I was DYING, out of breath, could barely keep up, I almost threw up & nearly passed out. Fast forward to now, staying active almost every day since... WHAT a difference it has made... I was able to keep up and without any modifications. WOO HOO!! Sweaty, but I did it! Can't wait to do it again tomorrow!

CHICKEN KABOBS

CLEAN EATING CHICKEN KABOBS RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

1 lb Organic Chicken Breasts (cut into chunks)
Package of portabella mushrooms
1 red onion
1 red bell pepper
1 Fresh Pineapple (cored, cut into chunks)
3/4 cup Kabob Basting Sauce (recipe below)
1/2 cup Teriyaki Marinade  (recipe below)
Your Favorite Side-dish (we prefer brown rice)
Olive Oil Cooking Spray
Salt and Pepper To Taste
Bamboo or Metal Skewers 12"

TERIYAKI MARINADE: 
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup Soy Sauce (Organic, Low-Sodium)
1/4 cup Organic Cane Sugar
1 tsp Minced Garlic

PREPARATION:
Whisk all the ingredients in a bowl and then add chicken and vegetables.  Toss to coat with Teriyaki Marinade and evenly mix. Cover and place on the bottom level of your refrigerator and let marinate for at least 4 hours.

KABOB BASTING SAUCE:
¼ cup Orange Juice, freshly squeezed
½ cup Pickapeppa Sauce or BBQ Sauce (all natural)
1 Tbsp Organic Cane Sugar
2 tsp  Parsley


PREPARATION:
Mix the ingredients in a small bowl until evenly combined and set aside for grilling.

PREPARATION:
Skewer the marinated steak and vegetables until the skewers are full. Be sure to leave a little space between the items on the skewer to ensure even cooking.  Place the kabobs on a well-oiled w/ Olive Oil cooking spray, pre-heated char-grill. During the grilling process turn the kabobs over every 2 minutes and baste the cooked sides lightly with basting sauce to develop a glaze. Grill to your desired doneness and lightly season with salt and pepper before removing from the grill. Serve with your favorite side dish and Enjoy!!!

Ohhhh hellooooo Pumpkin Spice Latte!!

pumpkin spice latte


Ingredients:
1 cup nonfat milk or unsweetened almond milk
1 Tbsp. pumpkin puree
¼ tsp. pumpkin pie spice
2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1 cup brewed black coffee or 1 shot espresso
1 dash ground nutmeg (optional)
Preparation:
1. Heat milk, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and extract in medium saucepan over medium heat; cook for 4 to 5 minutes, or until mixture is hot, but not boiling. It is ready when there are many small bubbles on the sides of the saucepan.
2. Remove from heat; mix vigorously with a whisk until frothy.
3. Pour coffee or espresso into serving mug then top with milk mixture.
4. Top with nutmeg if desired.
