Hey guys!  As promised, I am sharing my Week 1 meal plan for The Master's Hammer and Chisel program.  Note:  Please make sure you follow the instructions in your program brochure to determine the proper calorie plan for you.  I am following Plan B (1,500-1,799 calories).  And if you are following the eating plan to a  "T", note that there is no alcohol or "cheats" allowed, so it's up to you how closely you follow it, BUT I will tell you from my own personal experience being in Beachbody's Official Master's Hammer & Chisel test group before it launched, I had to follow it to a  "T" and I got really incredible results (below)!  It's an adjustment at first (especially cutting out wine!) but that is why I added a cup of hot, green tea at night because it helps with late-night cravings.  And Shakeology during the day helps to eliminate my day-time cravings for sugar & junk food.  My water intake I calculated by taking my starting weight (now 132 lbs) and dividing in by half.  So for example, if you weight 140 lbs, your daily water intake should be 70 oz per day.  I do drink coffee every morning but I did not add it in my meal plan because I did not add anything (other than a dash of Sugar In the Raw).  And with blending my Shakeology, I only add water (I do not use almond milk etc).  You can find a lot of the recipes I used here on my blog by clicking on the Clean Eating tab, then Recipes (above).  You'll notice I like to keep the same staple foods for almost every meal except for dinner -- it just makes it easier for me but feel free to switch yours up!  If you have any questions about the meal plan or creating one for yourself, please feel free to message me on Facebook!

Below are my results from Day 1 to Day 60.  Follow the meal plan with Shakeology and daily workouts, I lost 5 lbs, 4 inches, with 3 inches alone off my waist.  On days we had the power lifting workouts, if I felt hungrier, I would add in Beachbody's Recovery shake as well. And on occasions when I was really tired, I would use Beachbody's Energize pre-workout supplement.  I also used 5 lbs for my light set of weights, 10 lbs for my medium set, 15 lbs for my heavy, and 20 lbs for my really heavy set.  I also used a resistance band instead of a chin up bar, and I did opt for an incline bench, instead of using a stability ball, but you can use either.

Pasta Pomodoro with Chicken

Pasta Pomodoro with Chicken


1 8 oz-package of whole grain capellini pasta
1/4 cup EVOO (extra-virgin olive oil)
1 medium red onion, chopped
1 lb organic chicken breasts
4 Roma tomatoes, chopped (or 28 ounce can peeled tomatoes, puréed in a food processor)

1 tablespoon chopped, fresh basil
1/2 cup shaved Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon minced garlic
Sea salt & pepper to taste


1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Place chicken breasts in a glass baking dish for approximately 30-40 minutes, or until fully cooked -- making sure to turn chicken halfway through cooking.

2.  While the chicken is baking, fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Once the water is boiling, stir in the pasta and return to a boil. Cook the pasta uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the pasta has cooked until al dente. Drain well in a colander set in the sink.

3.  Once chicken if fully cooked, remove from oven and cut into 1/4 in pieces.  

4.  Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Place onion and garlic in the skillet in and cook until the onions are tender and caramelized.  Stir in the chicken, season with salt and pepper, then reduce the heat to medium. 

5. Toss the pasta, tomatoes, and basil with the chicken. Stir in up to 1 cup of water if the pasta becomes dry.  Serve and sprinkle with the shaved Parmesan cheese.   Enjoy!

*Simply measure how much of each container based on your serving size
(i.e. 2 yellows, 1 green, 1 red, 1/2 blue is my average dinner portion size)

A little over 2 yrs ago, my dream was to be a stay at home mom. From the moment my daughter was born, the thought of leaving her to go back to work DEVASTATED ME. Six weeks after she was born, I went back full-time (60 hrs/week). My husband & I both had great jobs but with a brand new mortgage, 2 car payments, 2 student loans, a new baby, medical bills, diapers, etc. -- we were still paycheck to paycheck. 
2 years after going back to work full-time, leaving in the morning before she even woke up, coming home with just enough time to feed her, bathe her & put her to bed, I had hit my breaking point. I NEEDED to figure out what I was MEANT to do with my life. I wasn't happy. I felt unfulfilled at work. We were stressed. I just wanted to be HOME raising my beautiful daughter & enjoying all the little moments that I had been missing out on. I wanted something that would give me FREEDOM & FLEXIBILITY. Something I LOVED doing that would allow me to provide for my FAMILY financially & also let ME be my own boss. I was CRAVING the freedom to live my life by design. That next day is when I learned about coaching and my life has been forever changed heart emoticon
Fast forward:::: 7 months later, I was able to walk away from my full-time job FOREVER. After 18 months, I was earning a six-figure income. After 24 months, we are earning in 5 weeks what I used to earn in 5 months. I am the happiest I've ever been, I'm in the best shape of my life, we are no longer stressed financially, I can for the first time in my life say that I truly LOVE what I do & wake up with PASSION, I make MY own schedule, work when I want, take off when I want, I never have to leave my home, I get to help people every single day, I get to mentor others & show them how to be successful as well, we get to TRAVEL all the time now, earn FREE trips (that I can bring my husband & friends on!)... it's really been the biggest blessing & I truly cannot imagine my life now any other way. I didn't have any special skills, I wasn't a business, fitness or nutrition expert... I was just a mom that just wanted to be HOME with her baby and DREAMED a little BIGGER then most are willing to dream & I NEVER GAVE UP on that dream. And most importantly -- I looked at this opportunity & I said "WHY NOT ME!!"  heart emoticon

BUSY MOMS -- Can you relate?!??  ðŸ™‹

"I have 3 children: ages 3, 6 and 9. I worked 30 hrs a week and was always busy with work and kid duties. I always felt guilt spending time on myself. All of my clothes were tight on me and I just felt like a sloth.

What inspired me to begin transforming, was seeing many member in my family be diagnosed with: high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, etc. All of these diseases are mostly PREVENTABLE! I also work in the medical field and determined that ‘I’ need to be the example for my patients and for my family. Prevent the preventable through hard work and dedication!

Chicken Stuffed Bell Peppers

Fixate Chicken Stuffed Bell Peppers

4 medium bell peppers
2 tsp olive oil
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1/4 tsp minced garlic
1 lb raw chicken tenderloins, chopped into 1/2" pieces
1 tsp ground chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1 cup cooked quinoa
1 cup tomato sauce 
3/4 cup canned black beans, drained and rinsed
3/4 cup frozen corn kernels
3 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
1 Tbsp fresh lime juice
1/2 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese

1. Prepare 1 cup cooked quinoa according to package directions (generally takes approximately 15 minutes, so do this first).
2. Cut all bell peppers in half and scoop out seeds.
3. Chop the onion.
4. Cut the chicken into 1/2" cubes
5. Rinse and drain the black beans.

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
3. Add onion. Cook, stirring frequently, for 4-5 minutes or until onion is translucent.
4. Add garlic. Cook, stirring frequently, for 1 minute.
5. Add chicken, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring frequently, until chicken is no longer pink.
6. Add Rachel’s tomato sauce, quinoa, beans, corn, cilantro, and lime juice. Reduce heat and cook 3-5 minutes or until heated through.
7. Add a heaping cup of the chicken mixture into each of the bell peppers (hence the name – chicken stuffed bell peppers!). Cover peppers lightly with foil and place on baking dish (skin down).
8. Bake for 30 minutes or until peppers are tender.
9. Remove foil. Top each pepper lightly with cheese. Bake for 2-3 minutes or until cheese is melted.
10. Serve and enjoy!

I've been asked the question a lot recently... "Can I do this from anywhere? I travel a lot & my schedule is crazy!" So this is me telling you YESSS!!! And that is the BEAUTY of this business: ''All you need is WIFI && a DREAM" 

Thanks to this amazing job -- I now get to travel whenever I want. And as a family -- we are always going somewhere which is why I love that I can grab my laptop or phone and just pick up & go -- knowing that I can work my business from literally ANYWHERE. And I am my own boss so I make my own schedule. So if I want to wake up & work from the beach -- I CAN. If I want to even take my "office" to the park on a beautiful day -- I CAN. Now THAT is FREEDOM! This pic below is from this year's Success Club trip with my fellow coaches who I've been so blessed to have met thru this experience who are now some of my closest friends. Beachbody awarded us an all-inclusive vacation at a 5-star resort in Cancun, MX and I was even able to bring my best friend as my guest! Can you say DREAM JOB?! How is this real life?!?!!! And that fact that we earned this simply by HELPING OTHERS live a healthier, more fulfilling life ----we are truly so blessed!

I wrote this post for all the MMS out there who are wanting to earn an income -- BUT also be able to STAY HOME with your babies like I was. As soon as I became a mom, I didn't want to go back to work...but I couldn't afford for me not to. So I went on for the next 2 yrs -- feeling defeated & heartbroken. Then I started searching for a way to make it happen. And one night -- I prayed on it {HARD} & asked for a sign.

The next day is when I learned about the coaching opportunity with Beachbody -- through a post on Facebook that I had probably seen before but either ignored or had NO idea what the heck it was about. This time -- it stuck out to me & I KNEW it was my sign. I quickly learned that not only was it EVERYTHING I had been searching & praying for -- but it encompassed the things I truly LOVED:::

-helping others
-fitness & nutrition
-being my own boss
-working from home
-making my own hours
-dressing however I wanted
-earning an unlimited income
-being able to travel whenever I wanted
-making a positive DIFFERENCE in this world

After learning more about it, I decided to go for it. 7 months later I able to say goodbye to Corporate America forever & fulfill my dream as a stay at home mom. BEST DAY OF MY LIFE! It's been 2 yrs since I signed up as a coach. I now get to work this business full-time (1-3 hrs / day) from home, online, and on my own schedule. It's helped me to get in the best shape & health of my life, while also allowing me to help motivate others to do the same. The physical & emotional transformations produced from the incredible people I get to help thru this business is such an incredibly REWARDING part of my job. I get to be present every day for my daughter -- something I missed out on her first 2 yrs. This business has given us financial freedom & the freedom to live our life by design. This company has been the biggest BLESSING I could ever imagine & has completely changed our lives.

Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won't so you can spend the rest of your life like most people can't

This morning was incredibly humbling for me..... 
When I woke up and checked our bank account, I began to cry.....

2 yrs ago, I was just a mom with a dream -- working 60 hours a week & PRAYING my life was different. I felt stuck in the daily grind, a slave to my job, somehow earning LESS each year (due to company changes), wondering each month if I'd be the next one to be laid off, always stressed about money, living paycheck-to-paycheck and feeling emotionally UN-fulfilled... But most of all, I was heartbroken that I had to be away from my baby for over 10 hrs a day & missing out on all of the amazing things as she was growing up....

Then one day after her 2nd birthday, I decided THIS WAS GOING TO CHANGE & no matter what -- I was going to MAKE IT HAPPEN. I prayed hard on it & was led to this incredible opportunity (which sounded almost too good to be true) -- as it encompassed EVERYTHING I had always been passionate about & wanted in my life:::

--getting to help others 
--get back to being healthy & fit
--being my own ‪#‎girlboss‬
--make my own hours
--work part-time
--be able to travel when I want
--wear whatever I want 
--earn an UNLIMITED income potential 
--and best of all.....WORK FROM HOME (yesssss!!!!!)

I knew the incredible potential of this business & that it would require a lot of work at first -- as I had to stay at my full-time job and start my new business all at the same time, with a 2 yr old who had stopped taking naps & a husband who was pretty skeptical about this whole thing in the beginning.  
After 7 months, I was no longer at that full-time job.
At 12 months, I had completely replaced my income from my full-time job.
At 15 months, I had doubled my income.
And today at 24 months, I have nearly quadrupled my income, ranked as one of the top Elite coaches in the company.    

But this business is not about the money for me -- it's about FREEDOM.
The FREEDOM for our family to do what we want & go where we want -- without stress & worry.
